Police say a gunman killed five people at a gay bar in Colorado Springs before patrons confronted and stopped him.
A 22-year-old gunman entered an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, shortly before midnight Saturday
And promptly started fire, killing at least five people and injured 18, authorities said Sunday.
According to Colorado Springs Police Chief Adrian Vasquez, the suspect in the Club Q shooting is Anderson Lee Aldrich.
He utilised a long rifle in the shooting, and two guns were discovered at the site, according to Vasquez.
According to Vasquez, at least two people inside the club confronted and fought the gunman, preventing additional violence.
"We owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude," he remarked.
