Takeaways from Ohio State vs. Maryland: No. 2 Buckeyes are led by Dallan Hayden past the upset-minded Terps.

No. 2 Ohio State overcame a scare from Maryland to win 43-30 and improve to 11-0, setting up a titanic battle with No. 3 Michigan on Nov. 26.

Despite trailing 13-10 at halftime, the Buckeyes used a 17-0 third-quarter outburst and a late fourth-quarter rally to remain undefeated.

With the passing game struggling, Ohio State relied on freshman running back Dallan Hayden down the stretch.

Hayden carried for 146 yards and three scores, including a game-changing 88-yard scoring drive that put Ohio State in command.

C.J. Stroud struggled at quarterback, completing only 18 of 30 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown.

Two of OSU's touchdowns in the second half were driven by blocked punt and lengthy kickoff return.
